Supervisor – Steel Fabrication

MMH Malta Ltd is currently seeking a Supervisor to join the Steel Fabrication Section. The candidate shall be responsible to supervise the fabrication and site erection activities (fit up, welding and lifting); supervise the fabrication and site installation operations (piping installation, steel structure erection); co-ordinate and interface between fabrication/installation and pre-fabrication activities; co-ordinate with sub-contractors involved in the assembly stages; ensures compliance with safety procedures and quality standards; searches for the most efficient technical solutions and provides quantitative data to produce progress reports.

The ideal candidate should have an Associate’s or BS degree in a technical field or with an extensive natural gas/oil industry experience.  The candidate should ideally have a minimum of 5 to 7 years’ experience in construction, inspection and commissioning of oil & gas pipelines, gas processing plants and gas gathering projects.  Furthermore, the candidate is required to have strong working knowledge of construction contracts, contractor inspection procedures and construction work sequences for plants and pipelines; working knowledge of codes & standards such as ASME, DOT, API, OSHA, and AWS inspection procedures as well as experience utilizing MS Project for project scheduling.
