MMH welcomes OCEANOILFIELD Rig through a coordinated maritime operation

OCEAN MVM, formerly Noble Resolve, arrived at the Mediterranean Maritime Hub on 13 October 2026 following its acquisition by Ocean Oilfield. Welcoming the jack-up drilling rig to MMH required a carefully planned manoeuvre, supported by close cooperation between teams on the water and ashore.

Moving an offshore asset of this scale into port demands precision, clear communication and coordinated execution. The operation brought together Port Operations, Malta Pilots, MedTug’s tug crews, port operators, port enforcement officers, Malta Customs, Ocean Oilfield and MMH’s teams, each contributing to the preparations and arrival.

Behind the manoeuvre captured in these photos were many hours of planning and coordination. From preparing the facility to managing the rig’s approach and positioning, the operation demonstrated the expertise and teamwork within Malta’s maritime community.
