General Hand/Diver

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct diving operations to assist crane team for lifting operation of vessels.
• Conduct diving operation for hull inspection and underwater maintenance.
• Conduct diving operations for hull cleaning.
• Follow instructions given by the Vessel Care Operations Manager and discuss the daily tasks/pick-ups to be carried out on the vessels on site; these include but not limited to: assisting the carpenter and the GRP technician, power-washing, sanding, painting and cleaning of yachts.
• Responsible for maintaining good client relations by providing prompt attention and courteous service.
• Clean and maintain equipment in good working order.
• Wear at all times, protective clothing supplied by the organisation.
• Keep work area clean.
• Assist the departments personnel when required.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

 

Requirements:

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good organisation skills with an ability to prioritise important tasks.
• Work without supervision.
• Have an attention to detail.
• Previous work experience in a similar post will be considered an asset.
• A valid forklift licence certificate will be considered an asset.
