Procurement Officer

Responsibilities:

  • Assist and report to the Senior Procurement Officer.
  • Responsible to establish and maintain a good relationship with all vendors.
  • Responsible for creating and sending orders to vendors.
  • Responsible to follow up with vendors and chase for order confirmation and estimated time of arrival.
  • Responsible for always maintaining and updating the system.
  • Responsible to source and negotiate the best terms and price possible.
  • Responsible to meet departmental and individual targets set.
  • Liaise and assist various departments within the company.
  • Liaise with vendors to get various documentation required, such as delivery notes, packing lists, invoices, certifications etc.
  • Ensure that products and materials are being ordered correctly, and according to the organisation’s demand, while ensuring adequate inventory level is maintained.
  • Responsible to comply, analysing data gathered from the system and acting according to the outcome of the data.
  • Responsible to issue reports and maintain them.
  • Assist in stock and asset inventory.
  • Assist with supplier agreements.
  • Responsible to lead, understand, and follow all company Standard Operational Procedures.
  • Understand and follow the Group’s Human Resources (HR) Policies and Procedures.
  • Understand and comply with the Group’s Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies.
  • Understand and comply with the Group’s Site Surveillance guidelines.
  • Understand and comply with the Group’s Quality Management System.

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within the same industry and with an ERP system will be considered an asset.
  • Any course / qualification certificates related to procurement and supply chain will be considered an asset.
  • Minimum of an A level standard of education.
  • Minimum requirement of 2 years eexperience in logistics commercial environments such as supply chain, procurement, and / or import operation.
  • Must have an eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy.
  • Excellent command of the English language; other languages would be an asset.
  • Good organisational skills, and time management.
  • Goal-oriented and able to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Able to work under pressure.
