Happy Ranger

This morning the Big Lift Vessel, Happy Ranger berthed at MMH’s facility, the Mediterranean Maritime Hub. A special thanks goes to the Malta Port Authority, Malta Pilots, Tug Malta and the mooring men who made this maneuver possible.

The Happy Ranger is a 138m long versatile heavy lift carrier, equipped with strong, 400mt SWL Huisman cranes that can handle units up to 800mt in a tandem lift. This heavy lift carrier will be transporting heavy equipment to the Bahr Essalam field. The field is operated by Mellitah Oil & Gas B.V. Libyan Branch, a consortium between National Oil Corporation and Eni North Africa.  Technip FMC was hired in May 2016 to perform the overall design, detailed engineering and deliver the project management, as well as procurement, installation, tie-ins, pre-commissioning and commissioning.
