Yachting Site Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients on arrival and explain the services being offered by the company.
  • Act as a salesperson in the yard to offer additional services- this needs to be carried out in the first few hours of hauling the boat and during the boat’s stay.
  • Take pictures and conduct an initial inspection of the boat prior and post lifting.
  • Plan the hard standing location of boats by discussing the works including the duration of the stay with the rest of the team.
  • Plan and schedule the works that are awarded to the company.
  • Coordinate and supervise the yard work force.
  • Assist the Project Coordinators to carry out estimates.
  • Keep logs for the works vs time.
  • Assist in the department’s growth plan.
  • Contribute to procedure write-ups and ensure appropriate adherence to procedures, such as lifting procedures, hardstanding procedures and HSE procedures.
  • Report any training needs to the head of department.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Perform general administrative duties as may be required.

 

Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years of work experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages such as Word and Excel.
  • Good attention to detail, highly organised and trustworthy.
  • Able to work in a team and independently.
  • Approachable and helpful.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks.
  • Must maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times.
